Swindon legal firm helps in sale of major design agency

Swindon-based legal expertise has been of assistance in the sale of a design agency in London.

Commercial legal firm, Thrings has an office in Swindon and its partners gave their advice to London’s Holmes Wood Consultancy (HWC) prior to its purchase. It was acquired by Benoy Group and the deal could be highlighted further if newsletter printing from Swindon is used.

Simon Hore, a corporate partner at Thrings, told Swindon Business News:

“Thrings is delighted to have advised Alex and Lucy on all legal aspects of the transaction and we are glad to have met the tight timescales involved. We wish Holmes Wood continued success in the future as part of the Benoy Group.”

The design consultancy was created back in 2000. It was founded by entrepreneurs Lucy Holmes and Alexandra Wood. It has co-operated with those in charge of important buildings like Tate Modern, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the National History Museum and the University of Greenwich.

Benoy Group is also located within the capital. It operates in the world of architecture and its history can be traced back to 1947. It is known for its role in the refurbishment of Battersea Power Station. It is also noted for its contribution to the Westfield regeneration project.

However, Benoy Group is developing an international profile in part as a consequence of its other initiatives. Its acquisition of HWC is an attempt to extend its capacities further.
