Swindon is up for a laugh

Jongleurs Christmas Comedy Night is due to take place in Swindon at the beginning of December.

This is a fast-paced stand-up show that features some of the current leading acts on the UK's comedy circuit. The list of talent on display is impressive.

It was back in 2010 when Jon Pearson did his initial stand-up routine at Birmingham's Highlight Comedy Club. This was followed by two appearances at the Edinburgh Festival and five years on the road. He is now a regular at many of the big venues.

Paul Pirie's stand-up journey started back in April 2004, when he gave up acting for comedy and soon became established on the Scottish circuit.

Small in stature with a vulnerable demeanour, almost childlike, Andy Askins steps onto stage accompanied by his guitar. His persona only serves to accentuate the power of his humour.

The MC for the evening is Pam Ford, a Birmingham-born comedian with an Australian accent. This ex-pub landlady left her small village in Kent and went on to develop and perform her distinctive comedy sets in clubs right throughout Europe and the UK.

Tickets cost £16.75 inclusive of a booking fee. The value of brochure printing should not be underestimated when considering the options for publicising a forthcoming event.

Jongleurs Christmas Comedy Night has a starting time of 7pm on Tuesday 6th December at Boom: Battle Bar, Swindon.
