What's Happening in Swindon, England…

The indie pop band HANYA, plus support, is due to play a gig in Swindon in mid-November.

This outfit hail from Brighton's thriving talent pool, and are named after the traditional mask used in Noh Theatre. They were formed by vocalist, songwriter and guitarist Heather Sheret. The fully fledged pop quartet finally emerging with the recruitment of several friends, who were also experienced musicians.

In the wake of a US visit to the New Colossus Festival in NYC the single "Texas" was released from their EP "Sea Shoes". It received a warm reception with "Clash Magazine" describing it as "a gorgeous shoe gaze hymn".

HANYA have garnered considerable support from radio's leading arbiters of musical taste. These include Jack Saunders (BBC Radio 1) and Tom Robinson (BBC Radio 6 Music). This is also true of the UK's DIY press, notably "The Quietus" and "Gigwise".

According to "The Quietus" - "Their songs may start off as an earnest ballad then – BAM! It’s a full-blown post-punk rager.” "Clash Magazine" has said of their shows - "Live they create truly a mesmerising and unforgettable experience".

Tickets cost £6.60, inclusive of a booking fee with a 16 plus age restriction. Brochure printing can be a useful way of promoting an up and coming band or a forthcoming musical concert.

Hanya's gig has a starting time of 8pm on Friday 12th November at The Victoria, Swindon.
