A Cyber Security Overview 1 Day Training Session, organised by Mangates, is due to be held in Swindon in mid-September.

This course will facilitate attendees’ understanding of cyberspace terminologies such as threats, risks, risk management and vulnerabilities. It also looks at the nature of online crime in recent years, drawing attention to genuine case studies.

The emphasis here is on the sector's growing importance, providing advice and guidance to both senior executives and employees alike. It explains, in detail, the cyber security life cycle, as well as identifying standard industry frameworks and best practices.

Topics covered include Cyber Security in Focus, the Benefits of Cyber Security, Cyber Crime: the Main Actors and Their Motives, What is Crimeware?, and Cyber Security v Cyber Resilience. The purpose is to assist organisations in formulating a robust, flexible and mature strategy.

This session builds on the Cyber Security Foundation course and has been developed more specifically to assist with preparation and planning for the incorporation of the NIST Framework, such as CIO, CEO and CISO.
