School near Swindon to get sensory garden

Eldene Nursery and Primary School, which is located in Coligsmead, is to receive a sensory garden.

The school has charitable status and the sensory garden should assist in the teaching of children who have disabilities. It has been designed by Swindon’s Sophie Coulton. Garden designers like Coulton can obtain bespoke Business Cards in Swindon.

Coulton is currently engaged in studying gardening at degree level online. She told the Swindon Advertiser:

“Garden design is my passion so I’m really excited about the project. When I first went to see the plot of land, I couldn’t actually get in because it was so overgrown and full of rubbish.”

Coulton has explained that the aim is to introduce pleasant colours and odours to the area. The transformation of the plot should mean that staff and children will have the chance to experience real relaxation. Coulton will have assistants to help her translate her vision into reality. She has revealed that Adam Frost, a designer who has been recognised at the Chelsea Flower Show, is her mentor.

At the moment, Coulton is an employee at Homebase. The company has donated many of the materials which will facilitate the construction of the garden. Local enterprises have come forward with donations to make the work possible. Before she became a student, Coulton was a deputy manager within the DIY store.
