It has been confirmed that a popular music festival will be coming back to Swindon later in the year, and the 2025 event will offer local bands a fantastic opportunity.
Festival on the Farm is a highpoint of the summer in Swindon, with this year’s event set to mark its 10th anniversary. In order to celebrate that, the organisers have come up with a great idea to promote local artists. They are putting together a ‘battle of the bands’ and the prize for the winner will be a main stage showcase at the festival.
The competition is open to all bands based in the Swindon area, as long as they perform original material. This rules out bands that do covers and tribute acts. Artists who are keen to enter must submit a video or show-reel using the official festival website.
Bands will be split into two separate heats and the public will vote for the bands they like the best. The last four will compete at a gig during June, where the winner will be chosen.
When it comes to advertising competitions of this sort, one of the options available is poster printing by Swindon shops.
The live show to decide the winner will take place at the Victoria and the successful band will perform on the festival main stage.
Festival on the Farm is held in August.
