Swindon could get a brand-new stadium for speedway and other kinds of motorsports, with proposals for the construction of one having now been revealed.
There is a consortium behind this proposal that goes by the name of Swindon Motorsports. This group has revealed designs for a stadium that could be built at Studley Grange in the town. This is not far from the local railway line as well as the M4 motorway, meaning it would offer excellent transport links.
Swindon Motorsports is now putting its proposal to the general public through a process of consultation. Graphic Design Services from local outlets can help with this kind of consultation, by providing images of potential developments.
The consortium sees this development as being a natural home for the town’s speedway team –The Swindon Robins. The team used to race at The Abbey Stadium, but has not done so for several years.
It then goes on to say that the new stadium would also feature a track for kart racing. The plan is for it to be for both professional motorsports and leisure use, with a 3,000-maximum capacity. This would include an outlet offering food and drinks, plus an arena for hosting live entertainment events.
The Swindon Motorsports consortium is hoping to submit an application to the council by sometime during the spring, if the public consultation goes well.Get a Free Quote for Graphic Design Services
