New Aldi store will provide jobs

The supermarket chain Aldi is opening a new store in Swindon this month - its fourth there overall - with jobs set to be created for local people in the process.

This latest outlet will be located on Shaw Road, in the Westlea area of the town, and has been in development over the last six months – with the finished store measuring 1,140sqm.

Jobs for 35 people have already been created and the store has begun the search for others to fill a number of positions that remain vacant, with store assistant, deputy store manager and assistant store manager among them.

Those customers visiting the store will find around 1,500 products to choose from, including a varied selection of ‘Specialbuys’ each week and fresh produce.

The manager of the store, James Bish, told the Swindon Advertiser that:

“We are looking forward to welcoming customers to our new store in Swindon, and hope the local community take advantage of the great deals we will have in store.”

As with other shops opening in the town, Aldi will be able to turn to places that supply poster printing in Swindon to promote its latest outlet among people living there.

In addition to the products on offer within the store, the new Aldi will have parking space for 98 vehicles and will be open from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm between Monday and Saturday.
