Ian Howard has fresh ideas as local charity head

The Restore charity in Swindon announced a new project manager in January.

Ian Howard, who used to be a teacher, has been thinking up new tactics to engage with the public in the area. Mr Howard has said:

“Among my first projects are to develop the garden space to encourage local people to make use of their gardens and to develop school holiday-based activities to bring parents and children into the Restore building.”

Mr Howard is now 50 years of age and has plenty of relevant experience for his role. He has run a soup kitchen in the area and wants the Restore charity to help deprived people too. He has stated that he would like to provide support and training to those in the community who require it. In the future, the people who have been trained may require the service of business card printing in Swindon to promote their commercial activities.

The Restore project involves a shop which can be visited between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm each day from Monday to Friday. This shop sells a wide variety of second-hand products. These include conventional second-hand items like toys and furniture. More unusually for the charity retail sector, Restore carries out testing on electrical items. In addition, the charity constructs bird boxes and grows really wide range of plants.
