He has put together a new show that he is calling ‘Gareth Gates Sings Love Songs from the Movies’. This will see him perform beloved romantic tunes from throughout the history of cinema. Among the celebrated songs that feature in the show are ones from ‘Dirty Dancing’ and ‘Unchained Melody’, from the film ‘Ghost’.
The venue for his Swindon performance will be the Wyvern Theatre and he told the Swindon Advertiser that it was a dream to be playing live there.
He then went on to say that:
“Performing these iconic songs in such a beautiful venue is something I’ve always wanted to do. Music is my life, and I’m looking forward to sharing this special night with my fans.”
The backing for his vocals will be provided by singers from the West End and a full band. He is promising fresh interpretations of the songs, rather than simple recreations of the originals.
Poster printing from local shops is one of the choices available to venues in Swindon, when they need to promote live shows like this one that they have planned.
Gareth Gates is scheduled to bring his one-off show to the town on 20th March next year.
