Comedian to visit Swindon during UK tour

A top UK stand up comedian and podcaster will be coming to Swindon early next year, as one of the stops on her planned tour of the country.

Angela Barnes will be taking to the road in 2025 with a brand new live show. This has been given the name ‘Angst’, and she is stating that audiences can expect a mix of jokes and storytelling.

Barnes launched her career as a comedian 14 years ago and rose to prominence after winning the BBC New Comedy Award a year later.

Since those early days, she has become a household name thanks to frequent appearances on television. These include stints on ‘Hypothetical’, ‘House of Games’, ‘Live at the Apollo’ and ‘Mock the Week’. Barnes is also a radio regular, including on ‘The News Quiz’.

Given her high profile, it is unlikely that there will be any trouble selling tickets for this show. However, venues in Swindon sometimes look to advertise upcoming shows using giveaway Promotional Products from local shops.

The venue for this particular show will be The Arts Centre. Talking to a local source, Barnes said:
“I am so excited to be back on the road, obviously also anxious, riddled with insecurity, and can’t shake the feeling that I’ve forgotten to do something important.”

Barnes will be bringing her latest show to Swindon on Thursday, 13 February.
