Change of ownership for Swindon dealership

TH White, a car dealership located in Swindon, has passed on its Land Rover business for Cambria Automobiles to take forward.

Cambria Automobiles has nearly 30 dealerships and represents 17 brands, and the firm may use business card printing in Swindon after its latest acquisition.

A spokesperson for TH White has told the Swindon Advertiser:

β€œTH White is confident that all members of the team will continue to do their utmost under the Cambria umbrella to provide the service that Land Rover customers expect – we wish all of them every success for the future and offer grateful thanks for their help in building up a great business.”

All the employees of the dealership have been transferred to Cambria Automobiles following the sale, which took place in early May. Nick Down, business manager, will continue to work at the old site, although the plan is that a new building will be used to take the business further.

TH White was formed back in 1832. A family business, it was among the first British organisations to establish a system of share ownership for workers. It has eight divisions and almost 550 staff.

The offloading of the Swindon dealership was part of a strategy by TH White to try to concentrate on its strengths. The enterprise has opted to focus on its Fiat Group work.
