Reading ready to giggle with Yorkshire comic

Stand-up comic, Maisie Adam, is on the road with her new show, 'Appraisal' and is due to arrive in Reading in mid-September.

This rising comedy star hails from North Yorkshire, where she initially took to the stage in 2016, Unusually, for a novice, on her first outing, she performed for a solid hour. Her anecdotes and humorous charm quickly won over the confidence of audiences.

Masie sold out all of the Edinburgh performances of her much-praised show 'Hang Fire', Just prior to a successful tour of 'Buzzed', which itself proved to be a sell-out at Melbourne's world-renowned Comedy Festival.

She also acts as co-host, with another comic, Suzi Ruffell, of the popular podcast 'Big Kick Energy' Her TV credits are numerous and include 'Live At The Apollo' and 'Mock the Week' amongst others.

The winner of 2017's 'So You Think You're Funny?' Award and the Best Newcomer at the Chortle Awards. Maisie also garnered an Edinburgh Fringe nomination for her debut show 'Vague'.

She has now been a comedian for five years, so is due a career appraisal.
