French festival arrives in Reading

This summer Reading is welcoming a special event dedicated to a French National Holiday.

Families in Reading with a passion for all things French, won’t want to miss a major celebration headed for town this summer. For two consecutive days in July, Reading will play host to the Bastille Day Festival 2025 and is inviting residents and visitors to attend.

Presented by Bastille Events and the Reading Business Improvement District (BID) the festival has enjoyed 13 years of successful editions. The annual event enjoys support each year from Reading Borough Council and has announced that the Abbey Quarter Business District is its biggest sponsor for 2025.

Those attending can expect to dine on delicious French food and wines from hand-picked participating vendors. Food sellers at festivals often count on professional Print shops for branded disposable Menus they can pass out to potential customers.

A whole host of themed activities and entertainment are planned for the event including a battle re-enactment from the Historia Normannis group, French Can-Can performed by Sandy Maya's Dance World, live baroque, guinguette and other traditional French music and artists like Cidre et Bière and Élodie Siby and much more.

Bastille Day Festival 2025 will now run from July 12 to July 13 at Forbury Gardens in Reading. The event begins at 11 am and ends at 5 pm on both days of the festival.
