This four-piece outfit from Fife has just been signed to Creation 23, a new record label from Alan Magee, the Scottish music impresario. Their distinctive sound reminds listeners of such well-known practitioners of the genre as The Beatles, The La's and The Stone Roses.
The Band have had over 250,000 plays on Spotify for their latest demo 'When She Goes Home' as well as selling out shows at many of Scotland's leading venues, notably Edinburgh's Mash House and Glasgow’s King Tuts.
It was only a matter of time until their sound found its way to Alan Magee's ears. He is perhaps most famous for signing acts such as Primal Scream and Oasis to his label Creation Records. Magee praised the Shambolics as a "great new band" after seeing them play a showcase live in London.
He later commented:
"Scottish Indie Music is having a renaissance. After I saw them I just had to sign them. One of the best Scottish artists out there. A classic Creation band. Big tunes and they look great!"
