The station currently known as Preston FM will become City Beat, with this change being accompanied by a fresh schedule of programmes and sounds, as well as a revamped logo.
Furthermore, it will move from its current base in Cannon Street into a brand new centre for broadcast media at the city’s prestigious Guild Hall.
Preston FM suspended some of its live programming at the start of the year, while decisions over the future of show were made, but it has now been confirmed that those presenters already at the station will remain on board.
The re-branding will benefit from the presence of Print companies in Preston that can provide Posters, Flyers and other visual materials to help get the new name and logo across to residents of the city.
Its marketing director, Darren Ofsarnie, told Blog Preston that the station is aiming to:
“Be more of an image, rather than just a sound.”
Ofsarnie added that there are Plans to reach a wider listener base within Lancashire, necessitating the adoption of a more inclusive name, while City Beat would also allow it to highlight Preston’s status as a city.
A launch party will be held on May 3rd at the Guild Hall.Get a Free Quote for Plans Get a Free Quote for Print Get a Free Quote for Flyers Get a Free Quote for Posters
