Preston to host alt-rock musician

The English singer/songwriter John Bramwell is on tour with his band. They are due to play a gig in Preston in mid-June.

A well-respected musical artist, Bramwell has been performing now for more than three decades. He began as a television presenter, was a member of the group Mouth and then went on to found I Am Kloot.

Acting in the role of frontman for the Manchester trio, Bramwell and I Am Kloot recorded and released a total of six albums. These notably included the Mercury-Prize listed ‘Sky At Night’. However, he also retains a considerable solo back catalogue, going under the pseudonym Johnny Dangerously.

In 2016, Bramwell decided to once again become a solo artist, and has toured almost constantly in Europe and the UK ever since. 'Leave Alone The Empty Spaces', his home-recorded LP, came out in 2019.

He will be playing tracks from his new 'The Light Fantastic' album, released only last year, together with some classics. John is due to be accompanied by Harriet Bradshaw on cello and piano and Dave Fuller on guitar and bass.

Tickets cost £27.50, inclusive of a transaction fee. Promotional Pens can be a useful resource for promoters when publicising a future concert or musical event.

John Bramwell and The Full Harmonic Convergence's gig has a starting time of 8pm on Wednesday 14th June at The Continental, Preston.
