Preston to get new coffee shop

A brand new coffee outlet is set to launch in the centre of Preston, as a replacement for another, similar shop that closed its doors recently.

The Town House Coffee and Brew Bar will be located on the site in the Friargate area of the town that used to be home to Fanakis, ensuring coffee lovers can continue to get their fix.

This new outlet is the brainchild of Bernice Marie Newton, 28, who is marking her first time in charge of such a venture. However, she has over a decade’s worth of experience in the field of hospitality that she will be drawing on to make it a success.

She has devoted the last year to helping with the establishment of Cedarwood Coffee, on Winckley Street, and told Blog Preston that the Friargate developments were exciting to her; making it the ideal time to launch a new outlet. She said:

“There’s a lot happening around here with the work UCLan is doing and the new flats going up too. I think it’s the perfect time to get this up and running.”

She went on to add that the shop would offer residents artisan coffee provided by Origins Coffee, as well as a food menu developed using ingredients that have been sourced locally.
