Preston retail park set for expansion

A retail park within Preston is set to grow as it moves into its second phase of development.

If all goes to plan, 500 jobs could be created in phase two of the development of Preston’s Fulwood Central. Located on a site near Eastway, the second part of the retail park could contain a variety of enterprises. A diverse blend of industrial and leisure units is likely to occupy the space. The provision of hospitality outlets may take place alongside retail, while shipping containers are set to create a park and courtyard to facilitate socialising and provide a place to eat.

Fulwood Central already has community attraction with its current offerings. The initial section of the site includes a popular supermarket, and fast-food outlets are also established features of the retail park.

The new retail park will focus on providing a leisure experience for residents. It is suggested that a gym and a crazy golf course will form part of the layout. When new developments like this are constructed, printing services can help by creating promotional materials to distribute throughout a community.

The first phase of Fulwood Central led to the creation of just under 50 jobs, and the second phase involves the implementation of a bolder plan. If the expansion goes ahead, parking spaces for nearly 750 vehicles will also be delivered.
