Preston office block to become flats

A block of offices in the heart of Preston is set to undergo a conversion to make it into housing, with the confirmation that the Plans for this have been approved by Preston City Council.

The block in question is the Unicentre one, which is 12 storeys high. This is located at Lords Walk, right in the city centre. It was constructed over four decades ago and it has always been in commercial use until now. The council has given the green light to Plans for its transformation into housing, with 122 flats to be created within the building.

MacMarshalls Ltd is the company that is behind these Plans. The idea is for the finished conversion to consist of 91 flats with one bedroom and 31 with two bedrooms. There will also be a terrace on the roof of the third floor that is for all residents to use.

Brochure printing outlets in Preston are one of the many options that local housing developers have when they need to show off their newest houses and flats.

The Unicentre block is close to the Guild Tower, which is the highest block in the city. That is also being converted into housing. It is within easy reach of other important amenities too, including the bus station.

The developer has promised that the conversion will retain its outward appearance.
