The electronic dance/pop band Sunscreem is due to play a gig in Preston towards the end of September.
They got together in Essex in 1991 and consist of Paul Carnell and Lucia Holm, both vocalists who play keyboards. Other contributions have come from guitarist Darren Woodford, Rob Fricker on bass and Sean Wright on drums, all at various times.
Sunscreem scored 12 UK chart singles and four US dance charts number 1's. They were dance pioneers on a par with The Shamen and The Prodigy, receiving several accolades, notably Best Scottish Dance Act and NME Favourite College Band.
The single Perfect Motion was taken from their 300,000-selling 1993 first album, O₃ becoming both an anthem and transatlantic hit. In total, the band has delivered five albums, 200 plus tracks and remixes including remixes by K-Klass and Leftfield.
They were also ahead of the pack when it came to live performances doing so in more than 500 shows to upwards of a million people. In 2015, Sunscreem distributed the album, Sweet Life, through iTunes and the band has 15,000 Spotify listeners each month.
Tickets cost £15.40 inclusive of a booking fee. Banner printing can be an effective method of publicity for a stage show or musical event.
Sunscreem's gig has a starting time of 8pm on Saturday 24th September at The Continental, Preston.
