The building in question will feature over 60 rooms. About £15 million is being spent to create the Shankly Hotel. It will be open to the public in the early weeks of the football season. Poster printing from Preston can be used at events of all kinds. The concept for the fresh hotel is similar to that behind accommodation located in Liverpool. Signature Living is behind the transformation of the old Preston structure. Signature Living’s Roger Jonas explained that confidence in the city is on the up. He said:
“Preston has some exciting developments and projects at the moment including the re development of the Guild Hall by local entrepreneur Simon Rigby, the investment by Swedish furniture giant Ikea and the £430 million pound investment of the City Deal.”
Bill Shankly is best known for being a successful manager at Liverpool FC. However, the inspirational personality was a player as well. Back in 1938, he assisted Preston North End in their successful campaign to secure the FA Cup.
The Preston hotel will celebrate the legacy of Shankly and it will be decorated with appropriate photographs and memorabilia.
Signature Living has been working on the evolution of the Shankly brand with regard to hotels. The organisation has been cooperating with Chris Carline, the grandson of Bill Shankly.
