Preston gears up to host Northeast band

Rob Heron and the Teapad Orchestra are currently on tour and have pencilled in a gig in Preston for mid-November.

The band formed ten years ago while four members were students at Newcastle University. Although still based in the city of Newcastle, today they now play venues right throughout the UK and across Europe.

With Rob Heron on vocals and guitar, the group consists of Tom Cronin on mandolin, harmonica and guitar, Colin Nicholson on keyboards, bassist Ted Harbot and drummer Paul Archibald. Their diverse influences include everything from Hank Williams to The Beatles, creating that distinctive Northeastern swing sound.

The band has produced four studio albums, ‘Money Isn’t Everything’, ‘Talk About The Weather’, ‘Something Blue’ and 2019’s ‘Soul Of My City’. They have also played Glastonbury, supported the likes of The Dead South on tour and featured on Radio 4’s Loose Ends, with their songs being covered by artists such as Huey Morgan.

In October 2022 the band will release The Party’s Over, their latest studio album, which delivers a distinctive fusion of traditional country and R&B.

Tickets cost £11, inclusive of a booking fee. When planning a large musical tour or event, it is worthwhile considering carefully the Logo Design that will be used to represent the act that is performing.

Rob Heron and the Teapad Orchestra's gig has a starting time of 7.30pm on Sunday 13th November at The Continental, Preston.
