The Mysterious Earth
Conference will examine a variety of subjects, including the debate over the moon landings, stone circles, aliens and fairies, according to its organiser Neil McDonald.
This local author has been fascinated by the inexplicable for much of his life and originally decided to put this event together so that he could meet others with similar interests.
The event has now been running for eight years with Grimsargh Village Hall serving as the regular venue. McDonald told a reporter from the Lancashire Evening Post that he has arranged for eight different speakers to appear this year, each an expert in a different subject.
The author also runs a company named Neil McDonald’s Megalithic Tours and added:
“The theme that runs through all this is that there are no answers to these mysteries. They just can’t be explained and we will never know, for instance, how or why people built things like Stonehenge.”
Linda Sever, a writer and lecturer, is one of the scheduled speakers – discussing sightings of aliens and fairies. Preston events like this can use promotional items such as Pens to give to conference attendees as memorabilia and to serve to remind them to visit again in subsequent years.
The conference will be held on March 5th and 6th.
