New benefits booklet for the over 60s in Lancashire

People aged over 60 years old in the Lancashire region are set to benefit from a new booklet, which gives an overview of the financial help that they are entitled to from the government.

Local people in Lancashire are set to receive help in understanding the benefits that are available to them thanks to a new booklet that has been created by Lancashire County Council. The booklet carried the title ‘60+… Benefits for you’ and is aimed at informing local residents about the financial help and support that is available to them.

The booklet focuses on welfare for people over the age of 60 and amongst other topics it offers helpful information about local council services. The booklet also has details of local district councils as well as valuable information on local NHS services.

One of the key areas that the booklet strives to explain is the changes that are due to come into force next year. These changes affect the age at which someone is able to claim certain benefits and the booklet aims to equip people over the age of 60 with the information they need to be able to get the right level of benefits.

Local councils throughout the UK that produce literature like ‘60+… Benefits for you’ often work with booklet and brochure printers. Preston residents and those in the wider Lancashire region will be able to pick up a free printed copy of the booklet from libraries and Age Concern branches.
