Nearly 400 homes planned for construction in Preston

A trio of planning applications have been submitted to the local authorities and could lead to the construction of about 400 homes in the Preston area.

The timetable for any building work has yet to be announced, but some outline planning approval has been granted. Graphic design can be useful in industries like regeneration and urban planning. Trevor Bridge Associates has been involved in the activity behind the development of two of the visions.

One of the schemes involves the creation of a retirement complex. The village under discussion would be located on a site next to Preston Road. Approximately 12 acres in extent, the space may accommodate a mixture of bungalows and apartments if Applethwaite proceeds with the project. In addition, a surgery and a care home should be built as part of the initiative. At present, the land is being used for agricultural purposes.

Affordable housing could be built near Lightfoot Lane. Should Westchurch Homes go ahead with its ideas, a blend of flats and houses will replace a mixed-use area. Some demolition will be necessary because the plot contains a large house at the moment.

Bellway Homes has the intention of constructing more than 150 homes. These residences are likely to be situated in the vicinity of Tanterton Hall Road. The site in question is about 11 acres in size.
