BBC Radio 2 in the Park will be bringing live music performances to Preston later in the year and now the line-up of artists who will take to the stage has been revealed.
The headline stars for this two-day festival of music are set to be the Pet Shop Boys and Sting. The former vocalist and songwriter for The Police will bring the Saturday to a close, backed by his brand new rock group. That consists of Sting on bass and vocals, with Dominic Miller on guitar and Chris Maas behind the drums.
This three-piece unit have been touring together for some time, so they should be in red hot form when the play at the event. The headliners for Sunday are the Pet Shop Boys, who will play a set combining songs from their new Nonetheless album and celebrated hits from their past.
