A team of repairers from Enfield will be fixing everyday items at an afternoon event taking place in a community hub in Palmers Green.
The Enfield Repair Café will be running in the suburb for a three-hour session, which will let members of the community with broken items connect with people with the skills to fix them.
Professional repairers sometimes rely on experienced business card printing services to design and create contact cards carrying their details that they can pass to potential customers.
All repair work will be carried out completely free of charge, and there is no fee to attend the event. While those bringing damaged items are asked to book a time slot, the event organisers state that if Enfield residents are unable to reserve a spot, they can come anyway, as repairers can still assess if items are fixable.
The eco-friendly gathering aims to save items like furniture, gadgets and clothing, which can be saved from ending up in landfill. It also offers locals a chance to meet new people and learn more about carrying out their own repairs.
The Enfield Repair Café will now be held at Palmers Green Library on Saturday, May 30. The event opens at 1 pm and ends at 4 pm, and the civic building is based on Broomfield Lane in Palmers Green in the Borough of Enfield.
