A park in Palmers Green is presenting an event that combines a guided tour of an art exhibition with a hands-on workshop this winter.
Enfield creatives living in Palmers Green can soon take part in a special event at a venue in Broomfield Park. Artist Cathy Taylor will be leading a tour of her latest ceramic and multimedia artworks exhibition entitled “Trees of Broomfield Park”. Afterwards, she invites participants to get practical in a workshop inspired by the park and her creations.
Professional artists often order a supply of branded Business Cards they can pass to potential clients when seeking to secure commissions.
Taylor will take guests on an informative walk around the exhibition which will be on show from late October until early November. Those taking the tour can then create art of their own making rubbings from bark and leaves sourced from the trees in Broomfield Park.
Named for John Broomfield, a leather goods purveyor in the 16th century, the park is a popular greenspace in Enfield that features a wildlife pond, a community orchard and historic Broomfield House.
The guided tour and workshop will run at The Conservatory in Broomfield Park on Saturday November 1. The event begins at 2 pm and ends at 4 pm and is free to attend but registration is essential.
The park is a short walk away from Palmers Green train station.
