Sean and Sharon Deegan have made a seasonal habit of requesting charitable donations when they are distributing marketing Catalogues throughout the area, and this year they chose Viking House Respite Centre to be the recipient.
This facility, in Roosevelt Drive, is managed by Barnardo’s and provides care for children with disabilities. Its manager of children’s services, Sue Morris, said the centre was thrilled by the gifts and that it would make Christmas far more enjoyable for the children who attend the home.
In total, Oxford shoppers provided more than £1,100 worth of toys, ranging from ‘selfie sticks’ and iPod speakers to retro board games and spinning top toys, and Mrs Deegan said her customers relish the opportunity to give, commenting:
“Some of our customers have been saving their coppers throughout the year.
“They just love taking part; they chose whether to buy something for a boy or a girl. Some people spent £30 on one toy.”
Charitable efforts like this often make use of services such as poster printing in Oxford and other areas, to generate awareness.
Kleeneze, for which the Deegans delegate work, organises Christmas collections every year, but the couple stated that this year’s generosity had surpassed all previous efforts.Get a Free Quote for Catalogues
