A revered theatre in Oxford will present an international dance company next year performing one of the world’s most romantic ballets.
Dance and music enthusiasts around Oxford won’t want to miss this single date show. The Bulgarian ballet company, Varna International Ballet, is coming to the city to perform the much-loved classic Swan Lake. The upcoming event is part of the company’s welcome return to the UK on a tour that will take them to respected venues across the country.

Founded in 1947, the renowned company is celebrated for its skilled soloists and accomplished corps de ballet, and has entertained audiences overseas and at home for decades. The performances are led by Artistic Director Daniela Dimova and accompanied by the Varna International Ballet Orchestra playing Tchaikovsky’s iconic score, with musical direction from Chief Conductor, Azat Maxutov.
Swan Lake will now be on stage at the New Theatre Oxford on Wednesday, February 4. The ballet is two hours and 20 minutes long and includes an interval. There will be two performances, one at 2.30 pm and the other at 7.30 pm. The theatre is based at 24-26 George Street in Oxford.
