West End improv to entertain Oxford

A revered theatre in Oxford will present an improvisational comedy with a Regency period theme this spring.

As part of a limited tour, an award-winning comedy is headed to Oxford for a springtime show. Dubbed “Austentatious”, the performance features live improvisation inspired by an imaginary Jane Austen novel that the audience titles. The show has already proved a hit in the theatres of London’s legendary West End, with critics calling it wickedly funny but ridiculously silly and a joy to behold.

Theatres presenting comedic shows sometimes include their official Logo Design on promotional Flyers and Posters to create a branded and more professional image.

The upcoming improv in Oxford features members of a revolving all-star cast. Performances to date have included famous faces from British television like After Life’s Graham Dickson, Inside No.9’s Cariad Lloyd, The Mash Report’s, Rachel Parris and much-loved stand ups like Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee, Joseph Morpurgo.

Austentatious will now be performed live on stage at the New Theatre Oxford on Sunday, May 17. The region’s largest venue for live entertainment, it is located at 24-26 George Street in Oxford.

Those seeking a premier experience on the night can upgrade their ticket to a VIP seat in the Director’s Box. Benefits include a Box host, a panoramic view and a bespoke sound system.

The show is designed for audiences of age 14 and up.
