Candlelit concert to come to Oxford

A Christmas concert by candlelight will take place at a chapel in Oxford next month.

Visitors to the area and its residents can enjoy a festive musical experience this winter. Acclaimed ensemble The London Concertante are coming to the city to perform a special show called “Christmas at the Movies.” Presented by Candlelight Concerts, the heart-warming event will feature themes from some of the most magical motion pictures made for Christmas.

Venues holding events in honour of the holidays sometimes call upon experienced banner printing services to create Christmas-themed signage to decorate their interiors.

Music chosen for the performance has been sourced from films from throughout the years, ensuring the experience will appeal to a wide range of ages. Timeless tunes like the much-loved “White Christmas” will feature alongside music from more modern movies like “Love Actually”, which featured an all-star cast that included Keira Knightley, Hugh Grant, Emma Thompson and Colin Firth.

Other scores included in the programme involve family favourites like “Home Alone”, “Elf”, “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “The Polar Express”, among others.

The Christmas at the Movies event will be live at Keble Chapel on Thursday, December 11. The concert has a start time of 7.30 pm and finishes at 9.30 pm, and the chapel can be found on Parks Road in Oxford. Tickets for the event vary in price depending on seating and start at £23.46.
