The stand-up comedian Josie Long is currently on her Re-Enchantment tour and is due to perform a gig in Oxford towards the end of June.
This talented writer, podcaster, filmmaker and performer hails originally from Orpington in Greater London. She won a BBC Comedy Award at the tender age of just 17, and later went back to stand-up after completing her studies in English at Oxford University.
Josie, a regular on the UK circuit, was nominated three times for an Edinburgh Fringe Comedy Award. These efforts were eventually met with success by claiming Best Newcomer for the show 'Kindness and Exuberance'.
Her list of television credits includes appearances on Channel 4's 'The Island' and 'The Superhuman's Show', Comedy Central's 'Russell Howard’s Stand Up Central', as well as Dara O’Briain’s Go 8 Bit on Dave. The co-founder of educational charity Arts Emergency, she also contributes to the Guardian and frequently appears on BBC Radio 4.
Josie's new show focuses on the inevitability of change, deeply held passions, relocating to Scotland and loving our troubled world. It combines humanity with compassion (and just a little politics).
Tickets cost £17.50 and may be subject to a transaction tax. Banner printing can be a useful resource when it comes to the promotion of stage and theatrical events.
Josie Long's gig has a starting time of 7pm on Friday, June 23, at the Old Fire Station, Oxford.
