Wildlife corridor planned for Lutterworth
A brand new wildlife corridor could be created at a park in Lutterworth, with the council having announced that it is working on plans for it.
Harborough District Council wants to create this corridor at Lutterworth Country Park. The idea is that it would connect it with Bittesby Country Park and the preferred location for the corridor is along what used to be the railway line. Now that it has announced the plans, the council is hoping it can get other parties interested. It is keen to work with local companies and those who own land around the area.
The first stage in the process will see the council put together working groups to collaborate on the project. The authority is also looking to involve the public, through a mix of meetings that they can attend and an event for volunteers.
When local councils come up with ideas like this, they need to spread the word about them. One option is to use flyer printing by shops in Lutterworth, as the flyers can contain important information.
According to the Rugby Observer, a spokesperson for the council said:
It would be part of the Rewilding Harborough scheme.
