Leicestershire City Council recently announced that £2.7 million is being allocated to the project. Places like Blaby, Charnwood and Hinckley are poised to gain from the initiative. Local authorities often use local printing services to collate information into Brochures and Booklets to distribute to the community. Trevor Pendleton from the council said:
“To make sure that Leicestershire residents and businesses can take advantage of the latest technological developments, local governments are relied on to invest in future-proof infrastructure.”
Councillor Pendleton is confident that full-fibre solutions will enable Leicestershire-based organisations to thrive. He is eager to attract investment to the county and is looking forward to the promotion of superfast broadband in the future.
Openreach has been engaged in partnership working with the council for some time. Matt Bateman is the director responsible for infrastructure at Openreach and he is proud of what has been achieved, but is keen to make further progress.
Bateman is convinced that superfast broadband can have a transformative impact on the prosperity of rural economies. He is looking forward to the difference that will made by the next phase of policy implementation.
It would appear that there was a delay in the work in the past. This stemmed from an issue with the procurement process.Get a Free Quote for Booklets Get a Free Quote for Brochures
