A shopping centre in Epsom is set to play host to a charity that offers support to those living with blindness next month, so that it can raise money and awareness.
Guide Dogs for the Blind will be setting up within the Ashley Centre and will be carrying out demonstration training exercises using a guide dog, as well as a number of other intriguing activities. A puppy named Ashley who is eight months’ old and who the centre provides sponsorship for is set to be brought along for a visit.
Among the other things attendees of the event will find are various charity trade items that they can buy, games for all ages and a stall featuring tombolas. Banner printing is sometimes used by charities and not-for-profit organisations to help promote their fundraisers.
Guide Dogs for the Blind is scheduled to carry out three demonstrations during the day, which are intended to show people how exactly they go about training their dogs. These will be held at 10:30am, 12:30pm and 2:30pm.
People who attend the fundraiser will also have the chance to find out what blindness feels like, as one of the charity’s trainers will take them for a walk while they wear a blindfold. The charity will be visiting the centre on 16th February.
