The company has permission to build this supermarket at a site in Alexandra Road. That land used to be home to Dairy Crest, but Aldi has been looking to set up shop in Epsom for over a decade. The project is set to cost £5 million to complete and could lead to employment for 40 people in the town.
Although work on the supermarket is underway, it is still at an early stage of development. The site is not currently in use, but needs to be cleared before any actual construction can start.
According to Surrey Live, an Aldi spokesperson stated that:
“Enabling works are taking place ahead of the start of construction for our new Epsom store as we move towards opening later this year.”
Giveaway promotional products that are created by Epsom Print shops can be useful to places like supermarkets when they first open. This is because they need to compete with rivals for public attention.
Aldi is a supermarket chain that was founded in Germany. It made an earlier bid to launch a store in Epsom back in 2015. However, Epsom and Ewell Borough Council turned the application down.
An exact opening date for this store is still to be revealed.Get a Free Quote for Print
