A green light has been given to the next phase in an Acton redevelopment scheme.
Property developer Countryside and L&Q, the social housing provider, have now been offered planning permission to complete the final phase of the West London renovation project known as Acton Gardens. Representing a significant investment of £800 million, the redevelopment scheme’s Plans were recently backed by planners at Ealing Council.
This latest stage will involve 215 homes of mixed tenure being completed on the former South Acton estate. Property developers sometimes enlist the aid of professional brochure printing services to create attractive literature on their upcoming projects to encourage interest and investment.
The recent council session saw planners approve phase 9.3, 9.5 along with 9.6, and now redevelopment work could start as early as July this year. This new site will complete an area referred to as the “Enfield Character Region”, which will act as a gateway to the Acton Gardens location from Acton Town train station.
After completion, the Acton Gardens site will offer 3,500 new homes. The building project is dedicated to delivering 50 per cent affordable homes and more houses for social rent than existed earlier at the location prior to the scheme. This last stage of approval is part of a three-phase masterplan designed to begin over the summer with the first homes completed in 2024.
