The London Transport Museum Depot in Acton will open its doors to visitors in a special weekend.
The weekend festival-style event will be held at the well-known museum depot at 118-120 Gunnersbury Lane in Acton Town. It’s been designed to offer all attending a rare opportunity to view a hand-picked array of items from the collection currently catalogued in the museum’s expansive storehouse.
A veritable treasure trove for transportation, the working museum storage facility presently holds more than 320,000 unique objects with historical significance from antique vehicles to vintage Posters.
Entitled ‘Love your Line’, this open weekend at the Acton depot is one of only three such occasions held periodically throughout the year. Museums and galleries hosting special events on their premises can take advantage of poster printing services to create eye-catching advertisements that invite the public to take part, ensuring a high attendance.
Visitors dropping by the museum storehouse will have a chance to learn through dedicated talks and guided tours explaining items on show. Themed activities for both adults and children will be offered as well as special displays of unique items.
The Love your Line open weekend at the London Transport Museum Depot will take place on Saturday, April 25 and Sunday, April 26. Tickets for the event must be booked in advance, but children under 18 will have free entry.Get a Free Quote for Posters
