A massive housing scheme destined for West London has been awarded planning approval.

Ealing Council has now approved submitted designs that intend to transform land in West London’s Acton to support hundreds of homes. The extensive residential scheme will be delivered and managed by Transport for London (TfL), with Plans to alter a currently underused half-mile stretch based in Bollo Lane, Acton.

The housing project will offer a portfolio of 852 new properties, 50 per cent of which will be built as affordable homes. The scheme comprises an accessible selection of buildings that range from between four and 25 levels.

The tallest of these towering structures will be mixed-use building close to Chiswick Business Park, which will be constructed near the tracks of London Underground’s Piccadilly line. The current development proposed will also include accommodation for train crews.

A central element of the new London development will feature a dedicated corridor that connects Chiswick Park and Acton Town Underground stations, while open spaces, terraced gardens, cafes, shops, safe pedestrian walkways and makerspaces will serve the public.
