Although pastry and bakery artisan Paul UK has recently shut its extensive array of eateries across London in line with government safety measures, it has not closed the doors on its central Bakery. The facility based in West London’s Acton will continue to supply products for a retail outlet based on the premises entitled “The Bread Market” in order to assist those living nearby.

CEO for Paul UK, Mark Hilton. commented:
“We opened ‘The Bread Market’ at our central bakery in Acton, West London, and this will remain open daily, to provide fresh bread for the local community during the current crisis and help alleviate the mounting pressure on supermarkets.”
He added that measures had been put in place to support the advice of social distancing at the newly set up bread market, including queue management and marking out lines to show acceptable distances for those waiting in line.
Any fresh food unsold at the central bakery is currently being donated to the Felix Project, a charity based in London helping people in need.
