The singer/songwriter Polly Jane Harvey is embarking on a European tour, plus special guests, and will play Acton this year.
This Bristol-born, multi-instrumentalist is a two-time Mercury Prize winner. Her arrival on the music scene came in 1988 as a member of the band Automatic Dlamini. She subsequently formed an eponymously named trio in 1991, with her big break ensuing the following year thanks to the release of the album 'Dry'.
PJ explores sensitive emotional topics in her songs and is widely recognised as an innovative voice in the context of the alternative rock genre. Original, seductive, and even savage are all words that could be used to describe her music.
In a prolific career, she has released a total of 35 albums in various formats. The latest of which 'I Inside The Old Year Dying', came out in 2023.
Her special guests include Big Thief, an American indie/folk rock band from New York; Tirzah Mastin, who combines earthy vocals with Mica Levi's experimental sounds, incorporating UK garage and R&B; Shida Shahabi, from Stockholm, plays piano and composes post-classical atmospheric music.
Tickets cost £70.55 inclusive of a transaction fee. Brochure printing can be most useful when it comes to the promotion of a concert or musical event.
PJ Harvey's show has a starting time of 2.00 pm, on Sunday 18th August at Gunnersbury Park, Acton.
