'Beauty and the Beast:The Broadway Musical', presented by Gloc Musical Theatre, is due to be performed near Acton in May.
It is the tale of an adventurous young woman called Belle and the Beast. She wants to leave behind her provincial life, whilst he is a prince held under the spell of an enchantress. If he can love and, in turn, be loved then the curse will be lifted to, once again, become himself.
His household is filled with cherished characters such as Lumiere, Mrs Potts, Cogsworth and Chips. They all anxiously await the results of Belle and the Beast efforts to understand one another in pursuit of friendship.
Can they fall in love? The clock is ticking, and if the he fails to do so before the enchanted rose loses its last petal, then the entire household faces eternal doom. It is a magical story of friends, love, and people, transformed all expressed in song and through the characters.
With lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, music by Alan Menken, and based on Linda Woolverton’s book, it was first directed by Robert Jess Roth.

'Beauty and the Beast' will take place between 14th May and 17th May at Questors Theatre, near Acton.
