A celebrated museum based in Acton will have strong focus on the environment this summer.
Acton’s renowned London Transport Museum Depot has announced a special programme of eco-friendly activities for the month of August. Art galleries, museums and other institutions displaying historic items and works of art sometimes use brochure printing services to produce plush Booklets for new exhibitions.
The Museum Depot is inviting members of the public to enjoy a series of family-friendly interactive and fun activities that explore environmental responsibilities. The new programme is also designed to show all who attend how they can participate and make a difference to the planet.
Events planned for August include Go Green Family Trails, which will explore the museum designed for those of all ages, and make and take-home activities that allow guests to get hands on and craft. Storytelling for children aged seven and below will take place in the lecture theatre, and attendees can ride the museum’s miniature railway, which is open every day. Miniature Oyster cards can be purchased for £9 and are valid for 10 train rides.
The “Going Green” programme will take place throughout August at the London Transport Museum Depot, based at 118-120 Museum Way on Gunnersbury Lane in London. A 10 am time slot has been reserved on Saturday, August 14 for families with disabilities and special educational needs.
