To help celebrate the contribution that small businesses and entrepreneurs make to the local economy, Vaughan Business Enterprise Center recently hosted a Small Business Week.
The event featured five days of free sessions and workshops where small business owners could gather information, inspiration, and share stories of what works and what doesn’t in the entrepreneurial world.
The sessions included a day of information about finances, where participants learned how to make the best use of the services of their financial institutions, as well as what funding sources may be available to them. Another was devoted to information about importing and exporting with the US. There was an innovation showcase, where people could display and find out about the latest in technologies available to them.
There was even a seminar dealing with how the owners of small firms can make the best possible use of both digital and traditional media to promote their company both at home and abroad.
The success of young entrepreneurs was also celebrated with a special night just for them. They were given an opportunity to meet with others who had been in their shoes and to share stories of their trials and achievements.
Those who take part in an event such as this may wish to make good use of the services of a company that provides business card printing services. That way, they will be able to distribute them to potential clients as they network with the other guests.
