A wooden cutting board can be a valuable kitchen tool, and the participants in an upcoming Vaughan activity will learn how to breathe new life into boards that need some TLC.
The Vaughan location of Lee Valley Tools offers a variety of learning opportunities, and its “Restore a Cutting Board” workshop will show how, with some basic tools and techniques, the participants can revamp one for their own home kitchen. It is free to reserve a spot and both morning and afternoon sessions have been scheduled.
The workshop will be facilitated by the venue’s Customer Advisor, and they will teach some basic wood finishing and resurfacing techniques. Everyone is asked to wear closed-toed shoes and tie back their long hair, and they are welcome to bring along refreshments if they wish. The activity is for those age 14 and up, and all of the materials and tools needed will be provided.
A class that offers a hands-on contribution to a hobby may be enjoyable for all who take part. Safety waivers, instruction sheets and certificates of competition for workshops like this can all be prepared by Print shops.
