At the end of May, Vaughan will be holding a special event to recognize the men and women who work each day to keep the city running smoothly, and the public is encouraged to join in the celebration.
The city’s Joint Operations Centre, which is located at 2800 Rutherford Road, will be the site of the festivities. The theme for this year is ‘The Power of Public Works’, and there will be an assortment of activities on offer.
Those who attend the function will have an opportunity to learn more about the women and men who plan, build and maintain Vaughan’s infrastructure. While they do so, they can enjoy the entertainment that will be on site, including a juggling show and live music. Costumed characters will be present to meet the kids, and face painting, waste diversion basketball, life-size snakes and ladders, balloon twisting and coloring tables will be set up as well.
Th younger folks who bring their bike to the event can participate in a bike rodeo, and there will also be e-bike demonstrations, a mulch giveaway, and an opportunity to exchange damaged waste disposal receptacles provided by the city. Many other activities have been planned, and the services of a flyer printing company can be utilized to create an assortment of publications that let local households know about all of the fun that will be on offer.
This day that recognizes the importance of Vaughan’s city employees will be held on May 26 at 2900 Rutherford Road. For more information, visit the community’s website.
