The holidays are just around the corner, and a Vaughan area museum is decking the halls for a special event.
The public is invited to be part of a celebration at Wallace House and the Woodbridge Library will also be joining in the fun. A weekend filled with activities has been planned, and the whole occasion has been dubbed ‘Christmas in the Village’.
Visitors at the library and museum will be taking a step back in time to enjoy Victorian style entertainments and other festive fun. There is no monetary charge to participate, but the organizers explained that donations to Wallace House and also the local food bank will be appreciated.
Those who come to the celebration may feel as if they have been transported back in time to the community’s early days as a small village. There will be ornament making and other crafts, strolling carolers and musicians, a pop-up market, horse-drawn wagon rides ,and many other activities, and holiday specialties like hot chocolate and cookies will help to keep the crowds warm.
A tree lighting ceremony has also been organized, and all ages are invited to come to the family friendly event. A banner printing company can design and Print a custom banner for an event like this, made from materials that can withstand being out in the cold.
This year’s Christmas in the Village will be welcoming guests on December 1 and 2. The Wallace House Museum’s website includes additional details for any who are interested.
