Non-profit groups from throughout Vaughan and the surrounding area were recently given an opportunity to showcase themselves to funders as well as the general public.
The event, which was hosted by the York Entrepreneurship Development Initiative (YEDI), allowed those who had taken part to display their work in the first ever venture fair in Canada that was geared specifically towards non-profit groups.
Those who presented at the event had participated in the YEDI 12-week program designed to give them a set of skills that they could take back to their respective organizations, to help make them sustainable over the long term.
The program was run through YEDI, and was sponsored by the Ontario Trillium Foundation and the Vaughan Business Enterprise Center. It is considered to be a start-up incubator that provides both practical and academic education in making an organization efficient and successful. It recognizes that many charitable institutions face challenges in their first years of operation, and the more that their directors and staff know, the more they will be able to be of service to those they intend to help.
A program like this that provides a practical learning environment can benefit from the use of materials prepared by a Print company. It will be able to produce everything from Brochures that promote the program to printed handouts, manuals, and any other items that are needed.Get a Free Quote for Brochures Get a Free Quote for Print
